This short film depicts a hunting party made up of “members” of the Frobisher Bay Correctional Centre in the Northwest Territories. People convicted of crimes with short sentences anywhere in the Arctic serve their time in this facility, where they are referred to as members. While there, they can take their families out on hunting trips. This film was made by one of the members on such a trip, using a Super 8 camera. The stalking, killing and skinning of seal and caribou are featured prominently, with explanations as to the importance of these animals to the Inuit way of life.
